Mark Hopper, Board President, is a recently retired Ann Arbor lawyer who has served as Mayor of the City of Saline.  He has two adult children and currently resides with his wife Vicki in the Saline area. Mark joined our board in 2022. His current term ends December 31, 2026.

 




 


 Scott King, Board Vice President, has a background in Enterprise Software Sales and served as a Solution Engineer for a variety of big tech companies including Salesforce, MicroStrategy, and OpenText. He earned his dual-CAD/CAM BS from Eastern Michigan University. Scott has a daughter and enjoys University of Michigan football games, hiking, wake-surfing, and traveling. Scott joined our board in 2022. His current term ends December 31, 2028.

 Ken Westerman, Board Treasurer, is retired from the Ann Arbor Public Schools where he was director of Choral Activities at Scarlett Junior High from 1975 to 1981 and Pioneer High School from 1981 to 2010. Ken has degrees from Yale and the University of Michigan. He and his wife, Cherry, have a daughter, son, and three grandchildren. He enjoys golf and ice hockey. Ken joined our board in 2021. His current term ends December 31, 2028.




 Debra Dill is a Senior Project Representative at the University of Michigan. She earned her BS and MPA at Eastern Michigan University. Debra and her husband have three daughters. Debra enjoys traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and volunteering with Dress for Success Michigan Inc. Debra joined our board in 2019. Her current term ends December 31, 2028.

 Venus Depena is a Special Education Teacher Assistant at Huron High School. She has a teaching certificate and MA in Education from the University of Michigan. Married with one son, she met her husband in New York City where she was born and raised. They have lived in Michigan since 1994. She enjoys teaching, volunteering, and faith-based activities. Venus joined our board in 2023. Her current term ends December 31, 2026.

Lorenzo Thurman is a realtor with Real Estate One. He attended St. John’s Military Academy, earned a BA at St. Leo University, and studied at Fuller Theological Seminary. Originally from Michigan he also lived in California and Florida. Married with children, Lorenzo enjoys golf, movies, and working with companies that focus on their bottom-line but find ways to be socially responsible, giving back to their communities. Lorenzo joined our board in 2024. His current term ends December 31, 2027.

Stephanie Brinley is an associate director of S&P Global Mobility, joining them in 2013. She has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Stephanie holds degrees from Eastern Michigan University and Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.  She is a member of the Automotive Press Association (APA) and a member of their board. Stephanie joined our board in 2026. Her current term ends December 31, 2029
